Manuel Jizzario De La Ghetto Jr.,was born and raised in San Antionio TX. Manny J. dropped out of High School at the age of 17 to work and help his family pay bills. After three years of working low paying jobs,Manny J. decided it was time to get his edgamacation on. Manny enrolled in a GED course,completed his classes and got his Good Enough Diploma. He then turned around and enrolled in San Antonio College and took a Criminal Justice program. After two years of study,he was accepted into the police Training academy,graduated and hit the streets to serve and protect!. After about a year of crime fighting Manny decided he needed a change. Since high school he had been a dj and loved it. He packed his bags and moved to Beverly…….hills that is,swimming pools,movie stars…when he saw the price for an apartment,he decided to move to Austin,then Houston, then finally found a home in Dallas. His first radio job was working for Infinity broadcasting (Wild 100.3). Working promotions,then working as a board operator,working in the studio while the dj’s had fun at the clubs. He finally got a break doing weekends on air and over nights. My first boss said I could never make it in radio,he said I was too Mexican. The same boss later asked me to join the morning show and also help with producing. After about three years,Wild 100.3 changed to Jack FM(CBS Radio). Manny J continued to work doing production helping with promos and imaging. Still doing mornings on Jack Fm. Manny J wanted to do more than just sit and play music. After 3 more years he got the call,”come join Casa 106.7”! Manny J joined the Casa crew and remained there for another two years, that is where he found his calling with Mauri, The Homies were created. Manny called his friend Dj Panic to join as the intern and the rest is history. Over the past 8 years Manny J has done everything in radio from mixing,broadcasting live,board operator,promotions,imaging,production,music,y mas. Its on now….. at Homies Radio. (explosion)…end
